Its not too bad to learn. I just did a lot of reading. Then did even more reading. Then picked up some leds to mess with. Then read some more.

This is a good thread to start with on a very simple light.

picked up a set of 265/70-17's today(yay for cheap take-offs), got 2 of them on the hummer rims. Thats all I could manage to do with this busted leg I'll get the other 2 mounted tomorrow and see about getting them on the truck. Looks like I'll have to open up the centers on the rear rims to fit over the hubs, but the fronts should be ok since its a 2wd truck.

anybody want to buy a set of 315/70-17's? good tread with a little cupping on 2 of the tires.

front wheels on. Love it. The 265/70's should have been about .25 smaller than the 235/85's it had, but it just seems to fill out the wheel wells a lot more than stock. I think it has to do with the backspacing of the rims pushing the wheels out a little further.

I would have liked to find a truck like this for a Cummins swap on my F350. Seems like the cheap good runners come along at the time when I just dumped my dinero into something else.

The new rims are awesome.

stole the amps from my del sol. Figure they will sit something like this

And the sub will be on the other side in place of this mess

Also I got the led lights for the gauges, so I put that back together and in the truck. Still haven't worked out a good way to use a black light without seeing the light itself. Plus I spent a bunch on the red leds already, so might as well use them.

It is very red, my camera phone has a hard time with red and orange

Practicing on some scrap for something I want in my center console I'm going to build. The ultimate plan is to have the cables for these things come up through the bottom, so whenever they are in their little homes, they will be charging.

I'll try and get straighter cuts on the real one

Oops. Turns out the phone is thicker than I had thought. I may just knock out the rest of this area and just screw another piece of wood to the bottom.

Got the rear wheels modified to fit over the hubs. I came inside to get my camera and got distracted, next thing I knew it was dark out. so pics probably tomorrow.

I got one of my turn signals of doom to function as it should, now to find a flasher that can operate with no load. and finish the parking light function and build the other side. This thing was a huuuuuuge headache to get working right. So I won't be building another fancy one like this for none of you

off

on, the outside ring of lights will be the parking light.

Now you may be thinking, man, there are a lot wires on that thing and those leds are shaped like an arrow, hmmm....

still need to get more lugnuts, these are just ones I already had. The work trucks are all around the truck right now, so only pic I could get.

Also need to figure out some center caps. I can modify 2nd/3rd gen ram caps to fit and they cover up the hubs nicely. I'll most likely paint the hubs silver now so its not so bad looking and possibly cut out the hummer caps for now.

Yea that would be great if you could get me a price and some pics (there are 2 different styles regarding the mounting, the old style won't work unfortunately)
