Just arrived from Arizona and will be here a year. I loved the rock crawling in Arizona, but am looking to see what this area has to offer. "Silverback" is what my son named my jeep (04 Unlimited on 35's, locked F/R, long arm lift , winch, and well armored.) I have about 3 weeks until I have to start work so am looking to see what runs may be available. I hope to find the same great quality jeep folks here as I found in Arizona.

Welcome!!! Moved back here to VA from Tucson 5 years ago. Sometimes I'm glad, others I'm not.
Good places to wheel local are Crozet (West of Charlotsville), Big Dogs (Winchester), Raucsh Creek (PA) to name a few. Rocky Run is in PA also...

What are good tires for wheeling in this area? Right now I have Goodyear MTR's and they were great for dry rock in Arizona, but I'm guessing there is a lot of mud and slippery rock here. My current set wore down considerably on the drive up here from Phoenix.

Welcome. You can see lots of pics of the kind f wheeling we have at Crozet on our site www.rcpfa.com.
There are a lot of guys running MTR's, and they seem happy with them. I run MTR's on my street queen, but TSL's on my trail rig. Example of the trails at Crozet. ![]() ![]()
