Hey all, it has been a dog gone long time since I have been on here!!! Outta Basic and almost to my phase II of my tech training with the Airforce. I am leaving Sheppard AFB here in Texas and going to Keesler AFB in Biloxi MS.... Also I still have my black 97 but have bought a 2000 4 door XJ Auto with 92k! Very clean, still In VA with my parents but will be getting it down here in MS..... MY point being, I cannot find an offroad shop anywhere in Biloxi off google, has anyone been down this way? Like it? Any good wheeling or just a mud fest? Since I have a little more coin coming my way I will be putting a RE 5.5 with SYE and Shaft etc etc, Ima do it right and do it nice this go round on the new one. Will be documenting on here as well, Any info on Mississippi and surrounding areas would be awesome, Cant count on people here :P Gotta go back to the great commonwealth!

Buy a welder and some steel and make your own sliders and what not
Also Iron scorpion off road makes a bitchin bumper kit that you have to weld together. 350 shipped from CO to VA is what I paid. So will you be back in VA? If so I can help you build your stuff, and take you wheelin, as long as you arent like everyone else who is afraid of body damage and trimming fenders.... |

I thought that most bases have hobby shops with all the tools that you need. I am I wrong? if I'm right make some friends down there and learn to do it yourself. You will save a load of cash and have a sense of pride cause you built it yourself.

hey thanks for the replies, I have sliders so thats no biggie, I put on my last lift with the help of some friends, shouldnt be a big deal just not very good with the front end to know enough about it to do it on my own, I will have to check on the hobby shop thing, the base i am at now doesnt have one that I know of. I wont be back in VA for acouple months and even at that for a week or two at the most. FiguredId get some imput on the gulf and if anyone was from or knew the area for wheelin etc etc. Appreciate the responses!
